FTFF visits Harby Jr. High in Alvin, TX

FTFF makes a visit to Harby Junior High School in Alvin ISD, Texas. Wow! Look what HISD has done!

What a way to kick off the new school year. HISD has taken a huge step in eliminating the alternative lunch option for the district! Summer Safety Celebration a Success!

From ‘Lunch Angel’ to ‘Lunch Super Hero’

Feed the Future Forward is extremely proud to be a part of the innovative changes at Cy-Fair school district. Kenny Thompson was at the Cy-Fair ISD Food Production Center on April 17th to help start the ‘Lunch Super Hero Account’ with the goal of dissolving the alternative lunch program. Cy-Fair’s the 3rd largest district in Texas and the 25th largest in the country. This program affects 110,000 students. At the start of school Monday, April 21, no alternative lunches will be served. Happy Anniversary! FTFF celebrates 1st month and over 1000 students lunch balances paid.

‘Lunch angel’ strikes again at Matzke Elementary March 3, 2014—“Lunch angel” Kenny Thompson of Feed the Future Forward made his second donation in a week to a CFISD school when he contributed $673.94 to pay off all 128 past-due lunch balances at Matzke Elementary School. While at Matzke, Thompson also contributed an additional $50 to Matzke’s “Angel Account,” which exists to alleviate past-due balances at the school once they have reached their limit.
